Contract Review Service

We review the contracts you sign — before you sign them.

Our legal-led contract review service helps ensure that your appointments, collateral warranties, and terms of engagement don’t leave you unnecessarily exposed. We focus on real-world, practical advice, not just legal theory.

What we check for:

  • Unlimited liability or disproportionate indemnity clauses

  • Consequential loss and liquidated damages

  • Fitness for purpose obligations (excluded by most insurers)

  • Net contribution clauses (or lack thereof)

  • Duty to warn, fitness for purpose, and copyright/IP issues

  • Alignment with your professional indemnity cover

  • Conflicts with RICS, RIBA, ARB, or other regulatory standards

Each review is returned with red-flag issues highlighted, along with suggested amendments or pushbacks — so you can negotiate from a position of strength.

What we work on:

  • Client appointments

  • Sub-consultant agreements

  • Collateral warranties

  • Project management T&Cs

  • Novation agreements

  • Framework agreements

  • Letters of intent

Risk Management

Advice that helps you reduce risk, strengthen your position, and lower your premiums.

We provide structured, ongoing advice to help you manage your risk proactively, tailored to your specific sector (architecture, engineering, surveying, legal, etc.).

Our support includes:

  • One-to-one reviews of your internal practices and documentation

  • Advice on scope creep, fee justification, and limiting liability

  • Health checks before renewals to highlight issues insurers may flag

  • Recommendations on project file keeping, reporting procedures, and disclaimers

  • Industry updates on risk trends, court cases, and insurer requirements

  • Assistance with drafting or adjusting standard terms of business

We’re also happy to speak to your clients or legal teams directly, where appropriate, to help push back on unfair terms.
